Welcome aboard The Forum — formally the Malawi Media Forum for Effective Governance. This is no ordinary journey. There’s no sitting back, relaxing, and leaving it to the crew. We’re all in this together as we chart the course toward the September general elections and beyond.
On this journey, there are no spectators. Everyone is expected to roll up their sleeves and help shape the Malawi we all want. Sitting on the sidelines is not an option. Here’s how you can take part:
- Write an article.
- Comment on the pieces shared here.
- Spread the word — tell your friends, neighbours, and even those you disagree with about this space to make their voices heard.
We know some may hesitate to speak out, fearing reprisals. That’s why anonymity is always an option. Your identity is sacred, and we pledge never to reveal our sources. You can count on us — we’ve got your back.
The journalism you’ll find here, unlike the usual fanfare, is advocacy journalism. Our mission is to tell the truth — not to cling to false neutrality. Some facts are self-evident, yet too often withheld in the name of “balance.” Disagree? That’s fine. Those affected will always have a right of reply. Challenge us. Let the best argument win.
Final call: don’t get too comfortable. Let’s engage, debate, and work together for a better Malawi.
Looking forward to meeting you on the pages of The Forum.
Safe travels!
